and Ecocert are trademarks for the Ecocert Canada
organic certification program. Our goal is to offer organic
producers, processors and distributors an independent
and private certification service.
The
certification of organic products constitutes a marketing
tool to help officially recognize farmers', processors'
and distributor's efforts to give consumers high quality
food.
These standards are the basis of our certification program.
We consider that beyond the definition of organic farming,
the common sense prevails.
Here is a system that brings solutions to the social and
environmental problems of our planet.This is the reason
for our global approach, leaving part of the responsibility
to those using our standards.

Our
standards meet the international standards for organic
farming as stated by programs such as IFOAM and Codex
Alimantarius. All businesses requesting organic certification
must respect our specifications to obtain the "certified
organic" status.

These
specifications are subject to periodical review, to updating
and to change as needed. The latest publication standards
prevail.
These documents constitutes the English version of Ecocert Canada's
standards. The French document, being the original, will
prevail at all times.
Ecocert Canada
is accredited according to ISO GUIDE 65 by the Conseil des appellations réservées et des termes valorisants (CARTV). This
edition was reviewed.
